Terara (テララ) is a character premiered in the fourth Keroro Gunso movie, Keroro Gunso: Dragon Warriors.

History[]

Terara is the Earth Dragon who awakens once every 5000 years to recreate the destiny world. Terara was held back by the Keroro Platoon from fully awakening though, so the platoon was then turned to dragons by Shion and made to be their guardian until they became born.

Backstory[]

Terarahat

Shion's original hat, which Terara starts wearing. (she does get a new one) (I think)

At the end of Keroro Gunso the Super Movie 4, when the Earth Dragon was summoned and had threatened to destroy the Earth, Shion appears to sacrifice herself to quell their birth, but ir was then revealed that she and the Platoon members are all okay and thus turned back to their original selves. Everyone eventually noticed that Shion was holding an odd glowing blue egg.

The egg started to hatch, and out of the egg came out the physical incarnation of the Earth Dragons feelings, Terara. The last remaining remnant of the Earth Dragon.

Shion takes Terara in as her friend and family member, and the two become close. After bidding farewell to Momoka Nishizawa and her friends, Shion returns and attends her school, as usual. But she's now accompanied by Terara. Terara and Shion have been visited many times by their new friends, now knowing that they are not alone. They are willing to aid their new friends anytime, shown by episode 356 of the show.

Personality[]

Terara acts childish and, in some ways, rude. Like when they jump on Kururu's head at the end of the movie, pat him rashly, and call him "a good guy". But their childishness isn't quite a bad thing, as they go back to Shion after doing that, claiming that Shion was special, as they continue to say that they loves Shion, with a big hug.

Appearance[]

Terara is navy blue with a Keronian-like body, lighter aqua tadpole markings that go up into a point in the middle of their face. They do not possess a tadpole tail, but a dragon's tail instead. Simular to Kiruru, their hat flaps are not from the hat but actually seem to be a part of their skin. They also haves a cat-like curled mouth with small fangs on each side, slit gold eyes, and Shion's hat. Terara's symbols are a shattered egg, and a shield symbol.

Relationships[]

Shion[]

Shion is Terara's "special" friend. Shion was the only one who ever heard Terara's voice as the Earth Dragon, and when she helped free them, she realized the errors in her plan and decided that she needed to save both Terara and the world. She managed to soothe Terara down from their panic, with the cost of passing out. When the Keroro Platoon tried to save her, Terara stops them swiftly so they could be the one to save her instead. Later on, when Shion came back after the Earth's reset, she is seen holding an egg containing the reborn Earth Dragon named Terara. From that moment Shion and Terara are never seen far away from each other, doing stuff such as going to school, playing tennis and going out shopping.

They became eachother's closest friend, and are truly family.

Kururu[]

Terara has a strained relationship with Kururu. In the movie, Kururu was annoyed by Terara after he patted his head rashly, and he falls to the ground embarrassed. He is later seen chasing Terara out of the credits. It is unknown if they are friends, but Terara seems oblivious to Kururu's dislike for them.

Momoka Nishizawa[]

Terara seems to like Momoka, though not as much as they love Shion. During the credits when Shion was running towards Momoka, Terara was shown holding their arms out to Momoka as if inviting her for a hug.

Trivia[]

  • Terara's name comes from the Latin word Tera, meaning Earth. This is referring to the fact that Terara is an Earth Dragon and/or was born from the earth.
  • Terara's voice actress, Ikue Ōtani, also voices the Japanese versions of Pikachu from the Pokemon series and Tony Tony Chopper from One Piece!
  • Terara was often referred to as female, due to a rumor that was started where it was 'assumed' Terara was female due to Dororo holding a blue flower out to someone off screen in the movie credits (it was either directed at Shion, or Terara, or both. Most likely both.). But this action wouldn't particularly mean they were female. It currently depends on the reader's interpretation until further information is revealed.
  • In Terara's card from Keroro Gunso the Super Movie: Gekishin Dragon Warriors de arimasu! (game), Terara is referred to as "コイツ (koitsu)" which is a term that can translate to "he," "she," or "this one." Terara's gender remains unclear, as their appearance doesn't hold any clue either.
